Pointless?

Where the lead of the pencil meets the lines of imagination, hesitation pauses the pencil in hand and springboards the mind into a plethora of paper overwhelming the writer.  Only one word at a time may be chosen, one path of written thought.  Are these the words of a random path of which one should not be following or is this the path which brings you closer to your destination.  Can a writer intentionally lead the reader to a pointless point?
-My wife tells me you can spring and you can board, but you can not springboard.  She also finds herself sprungboarded into annoyance by this writing  : )

Ode to Coffee

Death like black, as too many crows sapping the life out of the tree upon which they perch.  Smell rings acute, the true taste.  Truly under the weight of the crows the tree grows stronger and when the birds take flight the tree explodes forward reaching toward the nurturing sun.  Brain cells fire and connect; warmth and euphoria sweep in and scatter the darkness as the echo and dots of blackness break into the sunlight, behind the branches reveal the new buds.

Action vs. Ponder

Do we often think when perhaps we should just act.  Aggression is often perceived as wrong.  What if aggression, reaction and quick response bring about better communication and living than thought and ponder.  Where do brain and muscle merge?
What if, perhap and maybe's all try to bring about definement
-where some wish not to go.
Why would a person not want definition?
Not light in a dark area or subject.
Our eyes bring about pain when we do not seek coverage and shade.
Shade and darkness / A grey area

Death = Butterfly

I live by the choice of which I knew I not had.
The dance of life is formed with the mis-perception of fear aka Death.
But Death has never been
-and true life springs eternal.
As the butterfly is always in the caterpillar
The spirit of man is always in the shell of man.
Death is only a media for creation.
Break the bonds of mental fragility and embrace fear, pain and death as added dimentia & definant.

One

In the beginning was God and he tore from himself and made man and man wandered.  Man will come together back in unity with God.  We are more than God's children -we are of and are God.

Lashed to God

Religion is neither good or evil.  It is simply a tool, hopefully used wisely.  It is a joint concept of how to relate with God.  Men establish a written framework to work within and bring others to.  Fortunately God is also outside the framework.  It is unfortunate when some remain or insist others remain within their framework.
-Stunting Growth
I think many are unhappy with religion because they have stopped searching; stopped pushing the borders of their own relationship with God.
If I had a boat and could explore all the oceans and distant lands, but only stayed at my home port.  :(
There are all sorts of places I could go and explore.  Somewhere we have the idea if we stay put we will be safe.
How dare we explore God.  If we don't stay in our church, synagogue, mosque God might disapprove.  We could slip.  I don't want to get it wrong and end up in hell.
Be an explorer of God and lash yourself to God, not to your religion.  To those who give all -will gain all.

whirl whipping

- We who accept Christ Jesus are no longer on the footstep.  The door is already open and Jesus has carried us over the threshold.

-One can love Jesus Christ while knowing nothing of Christianity.

-Religion -A man-made word used in the attempt to contain God.

Harvest

I think our lives are lived out with the choice of accepting Jesus.  In accepting we begin the seeds of heaven, while rejection and turning away lead to hell on Earth.  We are torn between both and at the end God will gather up the wheat.  We need to let go of the weeds of our past and just keep laying down seed.  The harvest is in God's hands.

Footstep of Heaven

Is the footstep of Heaven not Heaven?  We whom Christ Jesus has accepted are at the footstep -not the door.  God has sent his Holy Spirit to dwell with us and has called us to perfection through continual feeding upon Him in faith. Heaven on Earth takes root in each of us who accept God’s gift of grace and allow Our Lord to abide with us. The Lord’s presence, I prayerfully ask for awareness of, for God is with us at all times.

Black Ball

Is there a space life-force flow of star dust continually collecting together and drifting apart?  Are there ties between singularities, dust clouds and the formation of new stars?  Are protostars, brown dwarfs, white dwarfs, red giants, super novas, black holes all just part of ebb and flow of space?

From what I gather; a star is perceived to have a life span and then either turn into a white dwarf, degenerate or super nova.  From a super nova a black hole can form.  What is known of a black holes life?  I find the title black hole confusing to people.  It is frequently thought that there is some sort of hole leading to who knows where.  I view a blackhole as a dense area of mass.  Black ball might be a more appropriate name.  Is it possible that black holes become saturated to a point where they must ignite, starting a new star?  Is a black hole behind a star dust cloud coming together?

If there were some ongoing cycle of star birth, death and rebirth – How long might this have been going on?  Is the big bang an incomplete view, just a duration of time within a limitless timeline?

Everlasting

Crashing waves, slashing and salty, redefining my perception. Will there one day nothing I be. What is left of the rock when weathered completely? More than the rock am I. For when mass is destroyed energy is set free.

"Captain K and the Gadget"

My most memorable Captain is stuck in my memory like a bad dream; he was a total Jack _ss! I don't recall his full name, even though I sailed under his command for 80 days. People just called him 'Capt. K'. The Captain was about 47 years old and maybe took 47 baths in his life. He was an old wrinkled Greek man who got his kicks from calling me 'Gadget'. My counterpart, the deck cadet Brian Dudley, would come back to the room and tell me all about how the Captain made him do this and do that. Brian would say that the Captain's body odor smelled like that of an 18th-century sailor. Dudley said he could tolerate the body odor, but his breath was just unbearable. I would die laughing as Brian would explain how close the Captain would get up into his face and start yelling. Capt. K would actually spit on Brian sometimes. I found it quiet amusing that my poor deck partner had to put up with this; but my turn would come.
Being the engine cadet was not too bad aboard the "OMI Missouri". For the most part, the engineers were really good guys and I rarely encountered the Captain. The Chief Engineer liked me. He occasionally dropped by and drank some brew with the rest of us. I always hung out with the 3rd and 2nd. Mike the 3rd came up through the hawse pipe, was a big time womanizer, and had "Easy Rider" posters plastered all over his room. He was about31 years old and owned two Harleys, which he would never shut-up about. Garry was the 2nd and was only about 26 years old. He graduated from Maine Maritime and enjoyed teasing me about Kings Point. We had great times after work bullshitting and drinking ice cold beers.
One beautiful day, things changed when I received a phone call. The person on the other end of the phone seemed a bit upset and it was very hard to understand him due to his accent. The person asked "Is this the engine cadet?" I thought that the voice was that of our Indian cook. I said "Yeah, what do you want?" Then he asked "Did you have your boiler suit in the laundry?" I responded with another "Yeah". There was a slight pause and then I heard many swear words followed by "Get your _ss over here!" My eyes popped out of my head as I realized I had been talking with the Captain.
Before I even got to the laundry room, the Captain had run upto me with a khaki shirt with blue ink stains all over it. He shoved it in my face, saying, "Look what you did to all my laundry. You stupid cadet $@#&$#@$#% !" My face felt like it went thru a car wash when he was done. And his breath nearly knocked me to the deck. The Chief Engineer had been standing behind the Captain the whole time, biting his lip to keep from laughing. The Captain finally left after telling me how I would have to clean the whole laundry room and something about my _ss and hell freezing over! I was a little dazed to say the least. The Chief cleared things up after he stopped laughing at me, by telling me what had actually happened. I guess I had a pen in my boiler suit, which was in the only dryer. The Captain had come along, taken my clothes out of the dryer while still wet, and put his own clothes in. When he took mine out the pen dropped in the dryer. Of course, by now Brian was on the scene, telling me how the Captain called him and how he thought the whole thing was pretty funny.
The whole ship thought it was funny except for myself and the Captain. I had to clean for a full four hours with Easy-off oven cleaner, trying in vain to remove the ink from the dryer. And the Captain had to wear blue clothes. Evidently the Captain only washed his clothes every blue moon, so all his clothes were ruined. We still had 20 days left out at sea and it was a long time for me. Brian told me how all the mates were making fun of his blue spotted khakis behind his back. But my two engineer friends were the worst; they tormented me about the Captain incident. They would ask the Captain if he had a pen or asked me to do their laundry. The Captain and I were instant celebrities. Things were not helped when Mike came up with a new name for me. From then on I was known a Sean Pen.

Cross for a Lamp

The burden of man he puts on himself
-punishing blows of unforgiveness.
Did not Jesus carry the cross?
So put down your cross for God's will be done.
And pick up a lamp to find your way home.

Bring light to the World and not gloom to yourself.
Allow God to be God, just follow his lead.

"Tides of Furry"

In the North Atlantic the seas are a living creature; and often having bad temper. It was the untamed month of February, I believe in 1993; a hurricane had come from the tropics and had stomped up the East coast of the United States. Her winds brought enormous effects on the sleeping monster. We were somewhere off the coast of Maine and the swells were expanding.
The cold air made it hard to breathe and the winds would pierce a human body and stir his bones. The skies became a colorless grey and water sprays started to mesh with the air. -Everyone was moving inside now as the ship began to take some solid hits. One could feel the awesome waves lift the entire ship. For a brief moment everyone anticipated the drop. The smack of the hull fighting the seas would shake the frame and your heart with in. Rumors flew, a tanker off the coast had been swallowed by the mad oceans. Men were uneasy for our destination was the dreaded Halifax.
Time crept on and the battle increased. The bow of the ship would often be submerged by the raving waters. It felt as though the devil was pulling the ship down to hell. If ever men believed in the next life, twas now as they prayed for deliverance.

Spiritual De-Nile

-Come to conclusion that people often separate or confuse Holy Spirit with consciousness or morals. The voice that speaks in you of truth is not subconscious thoughts-

It is God The Holy Spirit.

Thumb-sucking

Don't suck your thumb, trying to get comfort out of the past. Strike out against the womb. Your childhood has gone and you must find new pasture.
Where is this pasture you might ask?
It is not in the lush rolling green hills. No, even the most beautiful places on Earth shall be destroyed. Build your future in the body of Christ. For only in truth and light can eternal life be found.

Sir Francis Drake's Prayer (1577)

Disturb us, Lord, when
We are too pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true
Because we dreamed too little,
When we arrived safely
Because we sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us, Lord, when
with the abundance of things we possess
We have lost our thirst
For the waters of life;
Having fallen in love with life,
We have ceased to dream of eternity
And in our efforts to build a new earth,
We have allowed our vision
Of the new Heaven to dim.
Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,
To venture on wilder seas
Where storms will show Your mastery;
Where losing sight of land,
We shall find the stars.
We ask you to push back
The horizons of our hopes;
And to push back the future
In strength, courage, hope, and love.
This we ask in the name of our Captain,
Who is Jesus Christ.

Thoughts

I am writing because I need to express the ideas - thoughts that continually run through my mind. I am not sure they are correct, but believe that in carefully thinking them through I will have a greater understanding of God's truth. These thoughts are numerous and I'm not sure of some smooth way to write them down thus I'll write them down -Bullet form with no particular order and adding new thoughts as they come along.

1 -Is the Bible "The word of God"? I am not sure of the texts perfection. I do believe that the men who wrote the books were inspired. I do believe that there is much wisdom and truth written in the Bible and that with the Holy Spirit great holy truth can be found. I do not know where the term "Word of God" started. I find it to be incomplete. In other words I am certain that us humans can not be full with all the knowledge and depths of God from one or thousands of books. I think many religions would have us believe in a finality of God tied to the Bible. My thoughts are that it is a great place to start -An introduction to God and some of his word. To get to know God more fully we must invite him into our lives.

2 -Jesus is the way and the truth. Often people think that Christianity is the only true religion - The religion where Christ is our Savior. But Christ came to save all -and a man whom proclaims another or no religion whom seeks truth and God might be Jesus's brother. Is it not better to live a life walking with God humbly or is it better to know all of God's names and rules yet not understand His love.

3 -Seek God's will. Where would we seek? Where is God? God "The Holy Spirit" can be alive within you. Have you received the Baptism of Fire?

4 -Many followings/rules which we follow in order to be lawful seem odd to me.
Such as (just to name a few):
-No eating meat on Fridays during Lent
-Structure of Mass/Service
-Proclaiming Creeds
-Communion being very reverent and penitent -and that dipping cup. Instead of being a meal shared with friends.
Structure and order can be great, but we should strive for balance with simplicity - allowing for the Spirit to move.
It seems to me we like defining God and how God calls us to behave and act.
-Seems to me that this often causes division. Maybe we shouldn't make people live by our definitions.

5 -Is God present at all times and places? How often are we in his presence? How often do we stop, lower all our defenses and simply allow His Spirit to surround and penetrate are being?
Ephesians 4:6 "One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
In all things?
We take delight in His presence and in all things we delight in God's creation. In other words a thing might remind us of God's goodness. But God's Spirit reigns within the heart's of men.

If Lucifer were to try to deceive men

If Lucifer were to try to deceive men, in what way might he accomplish this? Could there be weeds among the garden? Could something be written that would make us question our brothers? Are we certain of the text of which we have proclaimed to be God’s word?
I find the book of Revelation to be like choking weeds. It creates fear of the future and points to signs to come. How many people are seeking out signs for the end rather than the Kingdom. It is empty of God’s grace and love and instead promotes perfection under the law and reward to those who win the race. Jesus has won!!!
Of what value has the book of Revelation added to your relationship with Jesus? Has this book brought you wisdom and understanding or has it kept your walls up and kept you from being giving and loving to all people? Why was the book of Revelation given to men? Was it given to confuse, redirect our focus and cause us to stumble? Turn your sight back to Jesus and the ever present Spirit and live for the moment with God -let go of any thoughts to the future, except for anticipating more of God’s love.
